Rebuilding Your Inner World

In today’s fast-paced and competitive world, success and achievements are often seen as the ultimate goal. Whether it’s in our personal or professional lives, we are constantly striving to reach new heights. However, this pursuit of external success can often come at a high cost, leading to inner exhaustion and trauma.

Many people believe that once they achieve success, all their problems will disappear. But the truth is, success only brings temporary relief and the emotional, and psychological toll of the journey remains long after the achievement has been reached.

For this month’s latest resource, we hear from Benjamin Windle, Australian author, speaker and pastor, in the first session of ‘Rebuilding Your Inner World’. He takes us on a journey through two videos discussing this very issue of inner exhaustion and past trauma.

Ben explains the story of Elijah in 1 Kings 18 and 19, and how Elijah was able to do many miraculous achievements, yet was utterly exhausted on the inside. This story is a perfect example of the need for God in our lives, and how the Holy Spirit can provide us with true rest.

Share this first session of ‘Rebuilding Your Inner World’ with your congregation so they can hear these soul provoking words and understand that there is a way to find peace amidst the chaos of life. The answer isn’t simply to bury the stress, but to trust in, and journey with our Lord.
