Rebuilding Your Inner World V2

This latest resource continues on from last month and is the second session of ‘Rebuilding Your Inner World’ brought to you from Ben Windle.

In these two videos, Ben refers to the story of Elijah in 1 Kings 19. Elijah has just experienced a great victory over the prophets of Baal. However, soon after, he receives a threat from Queen Jezebel, causing him to flee into the wilderness. Elijah becomes so overwhelmed by fear and anxiety that he begs God to let him die.

It’s important to note that even though Elijah had just experienced a great triumph, he was still susceptible to anxiety.

This serves as a reminder that anxiety can affect anyone – even those who seem to have it all together.

The good news is that God didn’t abandon Elijah in his anxiety. Instead, he provided for his physical needs and met him where he was. Through a series of encounters, Elijah was reminded of God’s power and love, which renewed his strength and purpose.

The story of Elijah reminds us that even in our darkest moments, God is still with us, working behind the scenes to bring about our redemption and growth. When we feel at our lowest, it’s important to remember that God is still at work, even if we can’t see it yet.

If you are a church and/or ministry leader and you know people who are struggling with anxiety in your congregation or community, use this latest resource to remind them to take heart. God is orchestrating a transformative process in their life, which will ultimately alter the course of their future.
