Meet Savai*, a vibrant 25-year-old working at a design company in Cambodia. One of CV’s pioneers from the Asia Pacific region visited her workplace to print a poster, and during the conversation, they excitedly told her about the free English classes that are held at their local church.

Eager to learn, Savai joined one of the classes, where the pioneer had the incredible opportunity to share with her the story of Jesus and the difference the gospel has made in their own life. 

The following week, Savai decided to take things a step further by joining the church service, even though her understanding of Jesus was still unfolding.

Faced with many challenges in her life, Savai prayed for courage, and that God would provide her with different job opportunities. She promised to dedicate her life to him if her prayers were answered. 

Miraculously, just one week later, her prayers were answered. Not only did Savai secure a job that offered her what she was after, but she also found newfound courage in her heart and began to share with others the faithfulness God had shown her.

Fast forward six months, and Savai celebrated a significant milestone in this same church — she was baptised. 

Her journey didn’t stop there; she now actively engages in bible classes, participates in mission trips to the province, and has become an integral part of the church community. She also volunteers her services to welcome others into the church and share information with newcomers.

Savai’s story shows the faithfulness and compassion of our creator and the incredible ways in which God works in the lives of those who seek him.
