Our CV North America team have recently been exploring how to keep someone engaged with a video on a particular subject that they’ve searched. The team have been testing various theories to ensure that we are always maximising the chances of getting online explorers to ‘Click to Connect’.
The team recently compared how the same script performed in two separate videos, with the only difference being the introductions. The video tested was called Grief and Sorrow and one of the videos began by jumping right into the topic, while the other began with “If you’re watching this video…”.
Both versions were launched around the same time, and there was an overwhelmingly positive response to the video beginning with “If you’re watching this video…”.
This information is really useful for creating more impactful and engaging videos.
