Rescued from Prostitution : Impact East Timor

Radio Voz FM, founded through our Impact East Timor project, is the most popular non-government radio station in East Timor. Through our partnership with United Christian Broadcasters (UCB), we now have rebroadcast stations in four key districts.

Last month we received nearly 8,000 listener responses. Here is a testimony from one of those listeners shared by Rio Cabral, our Station Manager and one of the 56 national successors we have trained as leaders:

“Berta phoned our OASIS program and tearfully explained that the next day she would be sold into prostitution by her uncle for a large sum of money, to pay for his debts. Our Radio Voz team and many of our listeners started to intercede for Berta. The following day, Berta sent an SMS to Radio Voz thanking the Lord and us for our prayers. Her uncle had come to her and sorrowfully asked for forgiveness. Indeed the “Big Missionary”, as Radio Voz is fondly called, is being just that!”

Prayer works! Thank you for praying for Radio Voz and the Impact East Timor project. Please continue to pray for the protection and effectiveness of our national successors, as they reach East Timor for Christ.
