Reaching the Community : Impact Venezuela

Reaching the community|reaching the community

“Exalted is the Lord above all nations, and His glory above the heavens.” Psalm 113:4

We have come to the end of another merry month, with certainty that the Lord is at our side as we work in this wonderful nation.

We have inaugurated another beautiful church, hallelujah! That makes five churches. We have no words to express our joy in seeing God establish His Kingdom in a community that often faces discrimination and indifference toward what has been achieved by the great love of God. We are sure that the church will be a great differential in reaching the community.

We have seen the good hand of the Lord in everything and, despite the challenges we have faced, the satisfaction in serving the Lord is greater than anything else.

The situation in the country is still complicated. There is still much difficulty in obtaining food and medicines and now, after the American sanctions, the country also suffers from a lack of gasoline. It is necessary to spend 3 to 5 hours in queues for fuel supplies.

We continue to pray that God will fulfil His purpose in Venezuela. We also continue to invest in empowering the leaders of our churches, and thank God that they are well motivated to work for the growth of God’s Kingdom. We have also invested in music and dance schools, which have attracted many people.

This month, we held a youth congress in Maturin, with studies, worship, theaters, and preaching of the Word. Many young people joined their lives to Jesus!

Taking advantage of the last weeks of school holidays, we do many recreational and educational activities with the children of the churches and communities. We also carry out social actions.

There are some wonderful testimonies from our churches:

A teenager from Core 8 Church received a worrisome diagnosis of a laryngeal lump and needed urgent surgery. The surgery was expensive and the family could not pay, so the church began to pray for her. Last week, she repeated the tests and the doctors said that the lump is decreasing. Hallelujah! We are believing that the Lord who has begun a good work will complete it, and His name will once more be glorified.

At Anaco Church, one of the ladies was diagnosed with a brain tumour. The doctors said that it would not be possible to have surgery because of the location of the tumour, so the church joined in prayer for God to do a miracle. After a few weeks, the lady returned to the doctor and asked for further tests. To the astonishment of the doctors, the tumour had disappeared!

Please pray for the political, economic and social needs of Venezuela, that God would fulfil His purpose and many would come to know Him through this difficult time.
