Portraits Campaign Touching Many: China

Although Christians in China meet and share God’s Word regularly, many of them are less willing to share their faith with those who don’t know Jesus. Rarely do they pray for relatives and friends, or invite people to church. Chinese Christians are in desperate need of encouragement to share the Gospel with others.

Through yesHEis Weibo, we are working to encourage Chinese Christians to share their faith through the Portraits campaign, launched in November 2017. The campaign presents testimonies of young Christians and has been well received by both Christians and non-believers alike.

One young man told us that he was deeply touched by the story of Yang Hua, one of the featured Portraits, and decided to follow Jesus for the rest of his life.

One Christian lady living in Eastern China’s Shangdong Province designed a booklet covering the contents of the Portraits campaign. It was created to give out to whoever wants to hear the Gospel and know more about God. This young lady wants to share Jesus with other young people in her neighbourhood and has been a great example for other Christians to follow.

Portraits is drawing an increasing number of viewers and many Christians are being inspired to share Jesus proactively.

Let us pray for more Chinese Christians to share Jesus. Pray also that God would bless the development of Portraits and our yesHEis team.
