New Life in Jesus : NPI Ukraine

We have been seeing many people commit their lives to following Jesus through our National Pioneer’s Initiative in Ukraine. Here is an update from our team as they share about the many lives that have been transformed throughout February:

Our pioneers met Rita* in Ocheretino, a village in East Ukraine where fighting (due to the war) is still quite intense. The pioneers came to see her daughter who was sick with diabetes, but before they stepped into her home, the woman announced herself as an atheist and admitted she had never held the bible in her hands. The pioneers continued to visit Rita and her daughter on a regular basis and even gifted her a bible. She was very open and hospitable and they quickly built friendship. The impact of this relationship was evident: God touched Rita’s heart and she began praying often and sharing how bad she felt about her sins. At the end of February, she was baptized!

A few days later we had another baptism of three people who long ago became good friends of some of our pioneers, as well as several other men from the rehabilitation center. It’s so amazing to see how former alcoholics and revellers praise God and passionately promise to serve Him. Another baptism became a real celebration for the new planted churches in eastern Ukraine. Pioneers gathered 30 people from different smaller villages and baptized them proclaiming their faith in Jesus Christ. We are truly grateful for those people and are looking forward for see new lives come to know Jesus.
