Being in the body of Christ means loving those who persecute us. This can often be the most powerful form of love, one that allows God to change hearts for His glory. Here is a story from a National Partner in Southeast Asia.

Budi* was a radical. To be more specific, Budi was a Jihadist Hacker. Defacing websites, disrupting systems, he did all these things and more in the name of Allah.

However, something rather unexpected happened when Budi downloaded yesHEis, our mobile evangelism app. While attempting to hack it, he began conversations with our team, where he eventually admitted that he had been having visions of Jesus Christ. Jesus had been calling him to follow the Truth; to follow Him, the exact thing Budi had been taught to hate and go against all his life. But how could he? Was he simply to abandon everything he was taught?

It wasn’t an easy decision for Budi, but eventually, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. Keen to learn more, Budi has since been discipled by one of our National Pioneers from our CV partner church.

Budi now believes he is called to be a Light of Christ to his people, to spread the Word of God to those who have been taught otherwise. As we speak, Budi is currently preparing for that time when he will be mature enough in Christ to become a National Pioneer himself.
