From Violence to Restoration : Ukraine

We are continuously inspired by our team of volunteers here at our Ukraine office, as they work to reach hearts for God. To help them remain motivated, we planned a series of training sessions for the year ahead and we can’t wait to start our first webinar with them next month.

One of our volunteers recently shared a testimony that was very encouraging to everyone. We ‘d love to share it with you too:

A man named Dmitri* is facing divorce after his wife left him and took their three children with her. Our volunteer responded with sympathy and tried to understand reasons of why the wife would do that.

Dmitri said that they had quarrels and even fights in the past that their children had watched. He admitted he became violent at times, but he has recently started attending a church.

Our volunteer emphasized the importance of repentance, asking whether the man had already repented of his sins. He sent Dmitri a prayer.

Later on, Dmitri shared that the situation had improved significantly. Everyone around him noticed him changing and he thanked the volunteer for his prayer support. He was able to meet and talk with his wife. “God changes me. I see the glory of God! Praise God for you and your support.”

The volunteer continued to keep in touch with Dmitri and has been encouraging him to pursue change, attend church and pray more.

Now, after half a year, the Lord has restored his family! “My family is with me! It’s a victory! The church is my inspiration and life! It is my home!”

We love hearing these testimonies from our volunteers as God continues to transform lives! Thank you for your prayers for our team and volunteers as we continue to share Jesus with people like Dmitri. All praise to God!
