Forgiving Our Persecutors : Myanmar

“But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.”- Matthew 5:44-45

Last month, two of our NPI Myanmar field coordinators were able to join Experience Alpha in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Now, they are mobilising our pioneers in Myanmar to run Alpha courses in their local mission fields.

Our pioneers have been witnessing many people come to Christ through their faithful work in the region. Although they are faced with many challenges, they remain encouraged with incredible testimonies like this one:

“After a few men destroyed my bike last month, they came and asked me to forgive them. I forgave them in Christ’s name and asked for nothing in return. Praise God, two of these persecutors came to Christ and were baptised! Now I am discipling both of them and one other person!

Another great opportunity for sharing the love of Christ has been tutoring children in my house. As a result, some of their parents have been able to come to Sunday services where I have a chance to share the word of God with them. Please pray that I may be more effective in sharing the Good News through these opportunities, that my disciples become more mature in Christ, and that the people who are always persecuting me will be saved.”
