With the start of a new year came many fresh opportunities to share God through our online conversations. Here are our top 5 stories from conversations with our India team:

A first-year university student, Raj*, who lost his grandfather and uncle in the same month, wrote to us questioning the existence of God. Through our conversations with him, he now agrees that God exists, but still holds to the Hindu polytheistic view. We are continuing to speak to him and praying that he would come to truly know Jesus as his Savior.

Shekhar* shared with us his great need for Jesus because he had been convicted about the way he had lied and cheated in life. The India team have been talking him through it as he shares his issues with forgiveness and talks about how he wants to move past his mistakes and find true redemption.

Deepak* wrote to us seeking a god who could save him from death and rebirth. As we shared about our saviour, Jesus, Dilip now wants to know much more about our Lord. However, as he is skeptical of Christians, our team needs prayer as we lead him to know more about Jesus.

A young man who had been suffering with an illness contacted us, sharing with us that he was feeling very depressed and was desperately seeking purpose in his life. After chatting with him online, he is now willing to meet and talk to someone. Continue to pray for him as our team connects him to someone who can help.

Kalyani* from Kolkata commented on one of our Facebook videos that was about sexual abuse. She sounded extremely hurt, so our team asked to speak to her on Facebook Messenger to get to know her better and to seek out help for her. After a while she shared that she had been raped for 2.5 years by someone she had trusted – her teacher. She had not shared it with anyone else and felt scared and lost. She also shared with us that she has great life ambitions and dreams of being success one day, despite her suffering. Our team in India comforted her and asked if she ‘d like to be connected to a female counsellor in her region. She agreed and we are now working to connect her to help.
