ANSWERED PRAYER

This story was recently sent to us from our National Pioneers Initiative (NPI) team in Madagascar:

My name is Halim*. I am 28 years old, married and have two children. In June 2021, I Iost my phone. A week later I was arrested and charged with the kidnapping of a young girl. I was shocked because I would never do anything like that.

The prosecutor said the sim I owned was used to demand Ar 20 Million (about $5000 USD) from the child’s parents. I then realised he was referring to the sim in the phone I had lost.

I explained to the judge that my lost phone had clearly been used in this crime. I pleaded my innocence but was not believed. I was sent to prison pending an investigation.

During my first week in prison I met a pioneer from the NPI who introduced me to Jesus by sharing the gospel with me. It was at this time that I committed my life to Jesus.

Every week thereafter, the pioneer visited me. She taught me how to pray and we studied the Bible together.

Three months later, I was released from prison, the charges against me dropped, and I was returned to my family. I will always be grateful to God for this.

Since his release, Halim has found peace in prayer and has been passionately sharing the story of what Jesus did in his life.

Let us keep praying and never stop believing that God is both able and willing to do more than we can ask or think. To join #cvprayer, click here.
