A Song of Salvation

Hadija*, a CV pioneer, was on the second day of her compassion campaign among the Zarma people in Niger when a beautiful and life-changing experience took place.

As the pioneer walked through the dusty streets, she noticed two beggars — a mother and her young daughter. Hadija approached them with a warm smile and began to sing a song, one that told the beautiful story of the gospel. The mother and daughter listened intently, and by the end of the song, they felt such a deep connection to God that they eagerly agreed to say the salvation prayer to receive Jesus into their lives.

When Hadija finished praying, she noticed something special. The mother’s face was lit up with joy. Curious, Hadija asked her why she was smiling. The mother replied that she didn’t know, but she felt immense joy in her heart at that moment, as if she had been promised paradise.

Hadija explained, “That’s exactly what it is! Heaven is found in Jesus, and today, you’ve received the one who brings it to you.”

Hadija continues to visit them regularly, not only bringing supplies to help them with their daily needs but also offering prayers and encouragement to face life’s challenges.

In the middle of hardship, Jesus’ message of love and hope has made a difference in the lives of this mother and daughter. We thank God for the lives that are being touched by the hope of his salvation, and we pray that many more people in Niger will choose to follow Jesus.
