639 New Believers : Venezuela

It has been an incredible journey seeing our National Pioneers Initiative grow in Venezuela. We received this update from one of our Venezuela NPI project managers last month that shares a bit of what God has been doing in this country:

“Great are the works of the Lord, considered by all who delight in them.” Ps.111: 2

We rejoice and feel privileged to be co-workers of Christ in the process and expansion of his kingdom on earth. The work we do in Venezuela has many challenges, but the immensity of lives that need Christ is far greater than those challenges.

We have made a lot of progress, as last month was a very intense month; filled with leadership meetings, seminars and orientations for families, youth activities, worship events, water baptisms, and tea for women, among other activities. Thanks to God, through these events, many souls were surrendered to Christ, which makes us very happy and motivated to do the work of the Lord in this nation.

God has opened many doors, and we are walking through them. We continue to believe in a great harvest with new preaching locations! People are responding to the Gospel in Venezuela, with 639 new believers and 101 baptisms.

The construction of our new church is ongoing, and it is due to be inaugurated at the beginning of next month, God willing.

We continue to ask for prayer for the situation of the country and its leaders. Please also pray for our visa situation, which is becoming more and more difficult to obtain. They have given us another 90 days, and we will try within this period to obtain a religious visa.

Another thing that has worried us is that unfortunately we have had a lot of sickness in our churches. Many people are infected by bacteria and do not have access to antibiotics. We are praying for healing and also for God to deliver us from these diseases.

In his Love,
Prs. Davi & ZilnEia Sampaio
