Job Overview

The Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the CV Direct Manager by producing reports, analysis and insights to inform strategic planning and operational decisions across the range of CV Direct’s projects.

Specific Responsibilities

To create, assist and support management’s reporting of Headline & Operational KPIs, appropriate to CV’s vision and strategies, including:

  • To produce systems for measuring, tracking and analysing key data, and reporting on the effectiveness of CV Direct’s projects, including visualisations, dashboards and interactive tools.
  • To provide research and analysis of CV Direct’s data to inform strategic and operational decisions, and continuous improvement.
  • To contribute to the development and coordination of technical specifications for measurement and reporting, ensuring validity and integrity of metrics.
  • To contribute to the growth of data fluency within the CV Direct team.
  • To create and maintain dashboards with Power BI and other systems.
  • To create and maintain data integrations using programs such as Make.
  • To manage databases, as well as new data source creation and ingestion.
  • To work with the global data team and country teams on managing and creating reports as part of local and global projects.
  • To manage projects to achieve department objectives.
  • Use AI to analyse trends in conjunction with other CV teams.
  • To manipulate, transform and analyse data to create actionable insights.

Essential Skills / Experience / Education

  • Would suit a junior person who is wanting to grow.
  • A demonstrated understanding of the Christian ethos.
  • At least two years of experience in the data analytics field and/or tertiary qualifications in a numerate or analytical discipline.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in systems and software for data preparation, visualisation, analytics and presentation.
  • High-level written and oral communication skills, and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people across all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience in working collaboratively within a team environment, to contribute to and encourage a culture of teamwork and service delivery.
  • Ability to think and act creatively, problem solve, and develop strategic and operational plans.
  • Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Experience working with internationally based organisations would be an advantage.
  • A basic understanding of Javascript, SQL, Regex and other coding and development languages would be preferred.
