After nearly five decades of junta rule, 2010 was a remarkable year for Myanmar; not only was it Myanmar’s first year of civil government but it was also the year that the NPI was started.

In partnership with only four mission organisations in 2010, the NPI started with just 12 pioneers. This number grew to 200 pioneers with over 25 church partner denominations.

In the past 10 years, at least 350,000 people have been introduced to Jesus, resulting in 4300+ water baptisms, 400+ new fellowship locations, 100+ pioneer successors, and 70+ house churches.

Starting with just our prayers and a vision to reach people with the gospel, we wanted to nurture and empower local leaders to reach their people, and other peoples and nations. 

Our prayers, tears, sweat and sacrifices have paid off in abundance and on December 10, 2020, we held a Succession Ceremony to celebrate God’s faithfulness and blessings upon the labor of his chosen ones through this project. 

NPI projects run for a maximum of 10 years after which time local partners are officially handed the ministry’s leadership.

More than 80 people joined the three-hour-long virtual Succession Ceremony and we were blessed with sharing from CV founders Lord and Lady Edmiston, CV Impact-a-Nation Manager Paul Rattray, and our mission partners. 

But we are not done! We are thrilled and excited about the greater impact we will have on the future alongside our wonderful partners who share our five-year vision and are embracing our digital initiatives. We pray and hope to be witnesses of the light of Jesus, always.
