Travelling With Jesus: France

I met Amari* in Kuala Lumpur, right after the CV Conference in 2018 ended. I decided to stay for a few more days to explore the city and booked in to a youth hostel where I met a young man.

Both of us didn’t know anyone else in Kuala Lumpur, so we went out for a drink together and ended up spending the whole evening talking about my faith in Jesus. Amari was born in Iran and planned to settle in Australia soon. The faith and worldview of his upbringing was shaken by everything I shared with him, but he was really open.

We then went on our own ways and stayed in contact through Instagram. For a few months we didn’t talk much, but God reminded me of him recently. We started to have conversations again and he agreed to go to a church in Sydney. He loved it and wants to go back and start reading the Bible to understand more about the great love he felt while attending church.

How amazing is God’s work when we listen to His promptings!

Please pray for Amari, as the beginning of a faith journey can be tough sometimes.
