I cannot remember the exact day I became a Christian, but I do remember what happened the day after: I changed completely. I stopped swearing instantaneously and my whole outlook on life was different. 

As Mark Twain said: The two most important days of your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why. I now understood why! This got me thinking about all the ‘day-afters’ we have over a lifetime.

When your first child is born it’s a wonderful event, but the day after they come out of hospital your life is changed forever. 

When you finish your education and the day after start what will become a lifetime of work. 

When a traumatic event happens in your life like a car accident, and the day after you are in recovery.

Jesus died and was buried in a tomb, which left his disciples scared and discouraged. However, a few days after, they were left amazed, encouraged, joyful and with renewed vision and hope, as he rose from the grave and later ascended into heaven.

While these day-afters are different for everyone, there are some that are the same because we will all die, eventually. Where will you be on your day after? For me, I am assured that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 

1 Corinthians 2:9 tells us: The eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love him. This is the blessed hope of all Christians.

If you don’t know Jesus, your day after will be very different to those that do, so make the choice to accept Christ today.
