Strongholds Challenged

Manisha*, a pioneer from CV’s National Pioneers Initiative (NPI), visited Kalikot, a remote area in the far west of Nepal, to share the gospel with the people of that district. This area has been known for its deeply entrenched cultural and religious practices.

These rituals have been passed on through many generations and include superstition, witchcraft, child marriage, and blood sacrifice.

Despite this, Manisha was able to touch the hearts of the people in Kalikot with the news and hope of Jesus.

Three of the people from the village have already surrendered their lives to Christ, and a house fellowship has been started through them.

This is a remarkable achievement given the deeply ingrained cultural practices that exist in this region. It’s also a testament to the power of God and the faithfulness of those sharing his message that these villagers are hearing the good news of the gospel.

Manisha’s story highlights God’s miraculous ability to change hearts and minds, even in the most difficult and challenging parts of the world. It also illustrates the importance of our CV pioneers who are willing to work in these remote and hostile areas to spread God’s love and hope.

Let’s pray for God to soften the hearts of those who need him the most. We should also pray for the safety and continued work of NPI pioneers like Manisha, who are doing God’s work in some of the most difficult and challenging parts of the world.

God is at work, and his message of love and hope is reaching people who desperately need it.
