Irina’s* first words to us were a short but painfully clear message: “Help me.”

In the course of correspondence with our online volunteer, she shared that she wanted to finish her life because circumstances had turned against her.

Volunteer Olya told Irina about God and about the value of life, which is a gift from Him. She encouraged the woman by telling her that there is always a way out in any situation, and it cheered the woman up. Irina wrote: “God does help me, but I can’t overcome one very difficult situation in my life.”

Recently she was experiencing some desperation and exhaustion, until she prayed a prayer suggested by our volunteer. She prayed to Jesus, asking Him to forgive all of her sins and help her overcome the depression.

She felt incredible and immediate effect: “I feel so much better, I feel like I became a piece of fluff! Such an amazing lightness.”

Later, we sent the woman a long-awaited Bible and suggested that she visit one of the local Christian gatherings. We are still in the process of correspondence with her. Please pray with us for her faith to grow.
