Our National Pioneers Initiative in Indonesia aims to trigger movements to Christ through indigenous evangelism and discipleship sustained by sacrificial succession. This project’s current focus is on neglected peoples in the country who by being impacted with the gospel can impact this nation.
Our NPI strategy is to work with and train churches in Indonesia, with cultural insight and experience, to identify ‘Pioneers’ in the indigenous community and support them financially, professionally and spiritually as they establish self-sustaining churches. By training these ‘National Pioneers’ with the skills and knowledge required to duplicate their own roles within their target community, creating natural ‘Successors’, we enable the national Church to grow organically from within. Not only is this an effective, sustainable and cost-effective model, but it is the very essence of the original biblical principles that drive The Great Commission.
Despite difficulties with persecution, one of the key achievements is having the highest proportion of Pioneers to Successors in Indonesia than anywhere else in the world.
