Lord Edmiston

Founder & Chair of Trustees

Lord Robert (Bob) Edmiston is a British entrepreneur. He owns businesses in the automotive, property and finance sectors with a combined turnover of approximately £500 million and remains a non-executive director of I.M. Group Limited, the company which he founded over 40 years ago.

With a keen interest in politics, business, faith and social issues, Lord Edmiston was the Chairman of the Midlands Industrial Council until 2010. He was then introduced into the House of Lords in 2011, but has now retired to allow him more time to focus on his charitable activities.

Lord Edmiston founded Christian Vision in 1988, inspired by his faith to use his business acumen and resources to contribute to Christian ministry on a global scale. He actively determines CV’s strategic priorities and his businesses continue to fund the organisation’s projects around the world.

Lady Edmiston

Executive Trustee

Lady Tracie Edmiston brings a wealth of experience and insight to CV. A co-founder of the charity with Lord Edmiston in 1988, Tracie became Managing Director and she pioneered CV’s earliest projects and mission partnerships in Poland, Philippines, Brazil, Hong Kong and Africa. Today, as an Executive Trustee, she continues to help determine the overall strategy and direction of the charity.

Together, Lord and Lady Edmiston also sponsor three Grace Academy schools in the UK, working with more than 2000 students between the ages of 11 and 18.

Ian Baker


Ian Baker joined CV as an advisor in its early years. Over the past two decades, he has brought his expertise from the legal profession to support the overall strategy and structure of the charity. As a retired solicitor and part-time business consultant, he specifically supports the executive arm of the organisation on strategic legal and corporate finance issues.

Outside of CV, Ian is a volunteer governor and trustee of the Grace Academies, as well as a Trustee of two other Christian charities.

Nick Cuthbert


Nick has been a Trustee of CV for more than ten years. Nick founded Riverside Church in Birmingham, where he has lived and ministered for over 43 years, and he is passionate about finding new ways for churches to engage in missions.

As a lay canon, a founder of Lead Academy, and the author of several books, including How to Survive and Thrive as a Church Leader, Nick brings a wealth of experience in church leadership and teaching, and a passion in helping people come to the faith.
