Praying For Our Persecutor: Impact East Timor

Pastor Oracio is one of our indigenous successors in Oecusse, the only place in East Timor where our church remains closed due to persecution.

A month ago, Pastor Oracio was surprised by an unusual invitation, through a third party, from one of the most vocal leaders of the persecution. He invited Pastor Oracio to visit his home and shared that he had wanted to invite him for a while, but shame had prevented him. The man, a teacher, well-educated compared to the rest of the population, had been sick for six months with a swollen belly.

Humbly he apologised, acknowledging that his actions against the church had been wrong and motivated by hate. He requested forgiveness from the national leaders of our church. The Pastor then prayed over him to receive healing. Praise God for this amazing opportunity!

Please pray for healing for our enemy (Matthew 5:44). Pray also that the church would expand, in spite of persecution.
