When we met young Grace* from Malawi, she had been engaging in prostitution to fund her university studies. She had no family to support her, and her friends had abandoned her because of her new line of work.

Feeling completely hopeless and on the verge of suicide, Grace got in touch with us. Through the 1Africa platform, the CV Africa & Middle East team has been able to pray with Grace and remind her that she is so very loved by Jesus. 

Encouraged to make healthier choices, Grace decided to put her studies on hold until she could secure a grant to cover her tuition costs.

Just two weeks later, she got back in touch to let us know she had been awarded a full grant and would be commencing in the next semester.
