Every day, our National Pioneers who have been placed throughout Southeast Asia continue to share the Gospel with those whom God’s spirit leads them to. Here is a testimony of a new believer named Dewi* who has found her new faith in Jesus Christ to be the source of peace she had been thirsting for her entire life:

“I was born into a family that faithfully followed religious rituals, yet I always felt empty. I eventually decided to stop performing these rituals because they gave me no sense of peace. They seemed like a waste.

One day, my husband invited a man to our house from another village who shared about the Living God as Jesus Christ. But my husband became so angry with this man that he chased him out of our home, then hit me saying, “It is your lack of faith in our religion that has caused all of this to happen!”

From that moment on, I could not forget the pioneer’s gentle words, “You will never have peace until you find the Source of Peace, Jesus.”

Contemplating his words, my husband and I both felt remorse. So we met with the pioneer again shortly after, apologised to him and asked him to explain the Gospel to us. Then we accepted Jesus as our Saviour and Redeemer and, to our surprise, the peace we felt in our hearts was amazing! We were baptised in a hotel swimming pool and have now committed to praying for our extended family to come to Christ too. Please pray for us.”
