CV CELEBRATES WITH AFRICA ENTERPRISE

African Enterprise, a global ministry aimed at evangelising in the cities of Africa, recently celebrated its 60th anniversary – and CV was there to commemorate this incredible milestone.

Along with officials and other ministries, representatives from CV took part in the celebrations held in Lusaka, Zambia, in September.

African Enterprise founder, Doctor Michael Cassidy, gave a speech at the prayer breakfast during the event which reminded attendees of the transformational power of the gospel in reconciliation and nation-building.

Dr Cassidy shared his inspiring story and highlighted the importance of prayer in reconciling the polarised political parties in South Africa – a nation that was on the brink of catastrophic civil war in the 1990s. Dr Cassidy told of how he walked with leaders such as Mandela and other freedom fighters to help instate peace during this turbulent time. He encouraged all attendees to be challenged and convicted to do three things:

  •         To PRAY for peace and stability in South Africa.
  •         To PRAY and seek how we can be used by God in service.
  •         To identify the practical needs, and the issues affecting the people of South Africa today, and to be the solution.

Dr Cassidy has written a book that talks of his journey called ‘A Witness Forever’. This book is the foundation of a documentary available on YouTube called ‘The Threatened Miracle of South Africa’s Democracy’ which discusses the issues impacting South Africa today and the lessons that can be learned from the past.

CV extends its congratulations to African Enterprise and the incredible work they have accomplished during the past six decades.
