Building the Church: Impact Venezuela

church planting

We finished the month of February in victory. With the grace of God, we were able to inaugurate two new beautiful church buildings!

Sadly, the national pioneer responsible for one of the churches died two days before the inauguration. He discovered that he had cancer in January and, unfortunately, the cancer was already very advanced. We believe that the lack of adequate treatment and medicines in the country contributed to his situation worsening.

Despite the challenges, we continue in the work that has already begun in the churches. Recently, we have taken advantage of carnival festivities to share Jesus in the streets and squares, talking about true joy in Him.

We are busy with many other activities also, including hospital visits, spiritual retreats, and training for workers and teachers of children. We also held the first dance and worship congress here in Puerto Ordaz, where 34 people received Jesus!

Christians in Venezuela are growing spiritually, and this gives us great joy and strength to continue working for the Kingdom of God. Several pioneers have also been encouraged this month to continue advancing despite the country’s difficulties.

This month we also had a great breakthrough in a town called El Pao, one of the few places where pioneers have suffered persecution. The pioneer had bought a piece of land there with his own resources, but the people took the land and prevented it from being built on. Despite the difficulties and persecutions, he continued to share Jesus in the community. Recently, the same people who had taken the land gave him another piece of land much larger than the previous one and asked him to build a church. Thank you God!

Please pray for peace over the political, economic and spiritual condition of Venezuela. Pray also that our national pioneers would be protected and strengthened as they work to build the church in this country.
