A Country in Crisis but God is Great: Impact Venezuela

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3

We end another month with our hearts at peace and firm in the purpose for which the Lord has brought us to this country, even with all the uncertainties.

New measures from President Maduro have only worsened the country with prices everywhere soaring! People lose a whole day or two trying to make an amount of money that can barely afford food for one day, with many people walking around, suffering and losing precious time to get a good meal.

Many shops and businesses have closed with more people also losing their jobs due to companies being unable to pay their salaries. This has been a strong cause in the stalling of our church-planting as builders lack the materials and workers to continue. Other citizens continue to flee from this once beautiful paradise in search for support from family and friends.

In the last 2 months we have had funerals of church brethren who died due to lack of medical care, medicine, and/or food. We cry out in distress, and the Lord answers us by reassuring us that He has purpose in all this. We then continue renewed and encouraged to move forward and have faith in God’s plan.

On top of all that, our monthly budget was all used up before midway through the month, but we praise God for the ever-fast and constant support of our leaders. The activities in our churches follow normally and the Lord has not only added souls every day, but has also continued to work miracles all throughout; even having us invited by the church of Maranhão in Brazil to participate and share about what God is doing in the midst of all the crisis. Hallelujah!

Please pray for guidance as we continue to share God’s word in the midst of all this mess and to be able to properly encourage others through tough times.
