Team Meets Pioneers: Impact Madagascar

The CV Africa team recently had the opportunity to spend time with our amazing pioneers on the island of Madagascar, visiting many fledgling churches and ministering to this fearless group of missionaries as they pursue our vision to impact this unique country. We were hugely encouraged by the fruit on their work and the clear impact they are making in evangelising tens of thousands of individuals in unreached people groups.

Our team were able to check in on newly established churches, follow up with pioneers as they work in their local communities, and spend time in ministry and prayer. After travelling more than 1,400 kilometres of dirt roads, this trip has taught us that the people of Madagascar take ‘living by faith and not by sight ‘ to a whole new level!

Poverty is rampant in these parts of Madagascar, but when people gather in a shared space to have church there is rejoicing and a presence of the Holy Spirit is clearly evident. Seeing churches alive and vibrant for God when they have nothing, was a huge encouragement.

We were also able to gather the entire group of pioneers for a conference to equip them with leadership skills and to share the vision and expectations for the project in 2019. We met with pioneers individually to bring encouragement and motivation. This was an impactful time together, leaving our pioneers with a renewed sense of purpose and the sure knowledge that God is going before them as they seek to reach the lost.

Please pray for the pioneers and their families in Madagascar. Recently, the wife of one of the pioneers passed away, while another’s mother passed away later that same week. Pray that the pioneers remain healthy and strong to complete the good work of reaching the lost in their local communities. Pray that God will continue to provide for them and that the pioneers will continue to be as on fire for God as they are now.
