Spontaneous Holy Spirit Fire : NPI Indonesia

‘On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.’ [Acts 2:1-4]

This was not unlike what recently took place in one of our NPI small groups of new believers. All from varying backgrounds, they spontaneously started speaking in new languages while being discipled. They had not been taught, seen, or even heard of this happening before, other than what they had briefly read in Acts. What was even more exciting and breathtaking was what they were speaking. The present interpreters understood the varying dialects being spoken and identified them as being from other parts of the island and Archipelago. In essence, as interpreted, God was calling these new believers to preach the gospel to these people groups.

Pray that those called will be obedient to the call and the churches sending them will support them in their calling to reach these unevangelised areas.
