Set Free From Drugs as the Gospel is Shared : Latin America

God is touching lives through our work in Latin America. Here are some of the stories that we received this month:

“Thanks to the show that was airing one dawn through CVCLAVOZ, I came back to the Lord. It was a prayer you prayed for all those who did not have a lawful job, and I was lost doing and selling drugs. But I thank God I turned the radio on that dawn as you were about to start that prayer for those who didn’t have a lawful job, and I said amen. Next week God blessed me with a job in an oil company. It seemed it was going to be difficult for me to walk away from drug trafficking but, thanks be to God, I was able. I am now working as a driver for the city Mayor.” – Oscar from Bolivia

“A few days ago I sent a desperate message asking for prayer because my youngest son had left our home and was using psychoactive drugs. Kindly and on time you answered me, giving me encouragement and motivating me to deal with this matter in the name of God. You sent me a prayer, which I prayed from that moment on and will continue to do so for all of my life. I write to you again today to give testimony of the miracle God did with my son. He came back home and stopped using drugs (even so we will do a therapeutic process). He is being very obedient, calm and respectful. Oh, and he prays with me at night! Peace has returned to my home, as well as tranquility and joy, all in the name of the Lord. Thank you so much and may God Almighty bless you and shine His light upon you so you continue guiding people that need Him.” – Gloria from Colombia

Mexico is a country that has been experiencing a peak in violence. News about deaths, delinquency, rapes, drugs and debauchery have become a common daily occurrence. Even so, despite this situation, a group of 120,000 people united to make a difference and reach a million people with the message of Jesus. The event took place June 16-17 in Mexico City. Besides giving out 1 million copies of the gospel of John, and 5 million postcards and evangelistic brochures, teams will disciple and baptize the new believers before the 30th of September this year. CVCLAVOZ took part in this campaign by streaming the event live, giving people in different parts of the world the opportunity to listen to a message of hope.

Please pray for our team in Latin America. Specifically, Juan Romero has received chemotherapy for kidney cancer and is now on dialysis treatment. Please pray for his full recovery.
