This month, a CV Outreach pastor from Detroit was connected with a young man in New Jersey that had a very interesting question: “How can you worship a God who had a human body and urinated?”

At first, this question seemed like it could have been from an internet troll poking fun at the CV Outreach landing page, but the pastor sent him an honest response anyway.

As it turns out, this young man was actually from an eastern background and had legitimate questions about the Christian faith, about God coming to earth in human form, and what it would look like to be a Christian.

So, the pastor continued to counsel the young man, emailing back and forth. Eventually, he requested that the pastor mail him a Bible so that he could investigate the Christian faith for himself. He had one extra request: could he please be notified when the Bible would arrive so that he can make sure his roommates and parents don’t find it in the mailbox.

With the Bible safely in his hands, the conversations with this young man turned to finding a church to visit. The CV Outreach pastor from Detroit helped him understand the differences between the various denominations and theologies of the churches that were near him in New Jersey. While communicating with the pastor from Detroit, this young man stepped foot inside a Christian church for the first time. In fact, he visited multiple churches, exploring the different customs and traditions of various denominations before settling on a church to attend for good.
