Off the Streets, Into a New Life : Impact Eastern Ukraine

relief for communities

Diana* is only 24, but her life has not been easy.

When she was 5 years old, she was abandoned by her mother. She has never known her father and she was raised by her elderly grandmother. The girl was often on her own. She didn’t study well and, when she turned 15, she went astray and was basically raised on the street. She started drinking, smoking and learnt how to lie.

We are not surprised to see in our ministry how supernaturally God is calling such special people with broken lives, outcast and lonely, to come to Him; how much He wants to save them and love them. Through the local church, we can bring relief for communities through God’s love.

One night, Diana came to our home group by accident. She was drunk at the time, and we even had to calm her down a bit. We didn’t think she would come back, but she did. Eventually she decided to repent before God, but it took us a while to help her in her new journey with Him. She couldn’t forgive her mother and her soul was broken and wounded.

Still, Diana kept growing in her faith and making progress. At present, she is getting ready to be baptised. Jesus is our first and only Healer who can save all people, including Diana, and give her an absolutely new life and hope for the future. Today, Diana is actively helping at the Sunday School and at the Children’s Club in her village. She is free from bondage and glorifies God. We are so happy to see this transformation, and we look forward to seeing many more lives changed through our ministry in eastern Ukraine.

Please pray for peace in Ukraine, and for all of our NPI missionaries who are working to build local, self-sustaining churches in the east of the country.
