Mothers’ Small Group Changes Lives: Impact Eastern Ukraine

The story of Henna* began with the children’s club in Kurakhivka, which was organized by the team of NPI pioneers in that part of Eastern Ukraine. The team often makes trips to the center of the village to sings songs for citizens, distribute literature, as well as invite people to participate at the children’s club. The team tends to catch the attention of many mums, one of whom was Henna.

Henna was intrigued with the children’s ministry since she had a small daughter. Eventually she started to bring her little girl to the children’s club.

The pastor of the local church came up with an idea to hold conversations with the parents of the children attending the club during the program, while they were waiting for their children. Soon, a small group of mums was formed, gently and simply talking about God. Henna, though not Christian and having never been to church, went to those meetings for six months until she decided to accept Jesus and be water baptised this year!

Though new in her faith, she is already a different person. Not only did she confess her sins and denounce her past occult affairs, she also gained freedom from addiction.

Henna’s mother believed in a different type of religion and was not open to Christianity until she began seeing the change in her daughter’s character. Miraculously, Henna’s mother changed her mindset and also committed to Christ!

We pray for this family to be faithful and continue to know the Lord more.
