In Southeast Asia, CV is currently supporting 359 pioneers to build self-sustaining churches in their own nations through the National Pioneer’s Initiative (NPI). This is one story of a family whose lives have been transformed after receiving miraculous healing from sickness through the ministry of the pioneers.
“My name is Nang Thiri* and I was a Bama Budddhist. I was very devoted to the teachings of Buddha and observed all the religious rituals required of me.
One day, my daughter became very ill and I did not know what to do about it. I called to all the gods I knew and worshipped, but got no help. At that very time, I was visited by a group of Christian friends and they prayed for the healing of my daughter. It’s amazing – my daughter got healed suddenly and could study her school homework!
Since then, I came to believe in Jesus as a healer and solver of our problems. Then, one day, I was invited to a Gospel event by my Christian friends. As I listened to the message and teachings of Jesus, I felt myself totally changed. I started to believe in Jesus as my personal Saviour, not merely as a healer. I then received water baptism on 30 August.”
Please pray that many more people would meet Jesus through the ministries of the National Pioneers in Southeast Asia.
