God Plants Hope and Joy: Impact Venezuela
“We praise you, God, we praise you, for your Name is near; people tell of your wonderful deeds.” Psalm 75: 1
We finished the month of October very grateful to God for His wonders. Among the many blessings we received, one of our highlights was the visit of our brother Paul.
Despite having had difficult times because of the crisis in Venezuela, we enjoyed our time together and can see the presence and care of God in our lives.
We had the first cycle closure of the national pioneers and it was very gratifying to see what God has done through the lives of these men and women in the three years of the project.
Of course, Venezuela is no longer the same, spiritually speaking. The seed has been planted and we have already gained many fruits, but we believe with great conviction that we will have even greater harvest in the coming years.
With closure of the cycle, we also conducted training for over 100 new pioneers. All of these successors are excited and happy to be part of the project. It was beautiful to see the joy and gratitude to God and CV, from both those who finished this stage of the project and those who are starting soon.
We end the month by opening three new churches. There are 12 churches already and another 30 are still in progress. We are happy to witness how this place transforms into a community where people come together for worship. We know that God is preparing His Church, a new generation, for a new time to come and continue to believe in His plan for this nation.
Please pray for the country’s socio-political and economic situation, which remains very difficult. Because the persecution of evangelical churches has increased, this month some radio stations were closed and some pastors were arrested for distributing medicine and food. Please pray for our protection and health in these worrying circumstances. My back pain is much better, but prayer for my shoulder pain from bursitis, tendonitis, and joint wear would be appreciated.
