God is Still Working : Impact Venezuela
“The LORD of hosts is with us, the God of Jacob is our refuge.” Psalm 46:7
This month we have completed 2 years in Venezuela, and we thank God for His grace and favour.
The month of August was very tense. The news about the crisis in Venezuela affected our family in Brazil, and some missionaries from other organisations returned to their home countries. There were moments of concern, but at no time did we stop trusting God, who has sustained and saved our lives in this country.
At the moment, things are apparently calmer. The new constituent is still not working in the country, and we are praying that this will not happen. The situation of the country is still serious, however. The financial crisis has affected many friends among our church partners. We have helped as we can, but the situation saddens us a lot.
In spite of everything, we continue to dream of a different Venezuela. We continue to believe that God is working in His people and that He will change the situation of this nation.
Thank God, the pioneering work goes on normally and continues to grow. This month we did several activities in our churches, one of them being the Biblical School of Vacations. These were days of great joy for the children, where many could meet Jesus.
We also celebrated the first anniversary of our first church, Vision Cristiana Church in Puerto Ordaz. It was a beautiful party, over three days of blessing! It is wonderful to see how the church has grown and developed in just one year. Glory to God!
Even with the current atmosphere of apprehension and uncertainty in Venezuela, we are convinced that the Lord has brought us to this land to do His work and we will be here for the time that the Lord determines.
Please join with us in prayer, for the Lord to continue giving us faith, strength, courage, determination and much love to continue fulfilling our calling and glorifying His name in this nation that we love so much.
