Gaining New Strength: Impact Eastern Ukraine

Karen* is a positive and loving believer; but that hadn’t always been the case.

Years prior, Karen struggled for the longest time. She didn’t have anyone. She felt like she was losing her meaning and purpose because she didn’t have anyone to take care of. There was an unease, a loneliness that came with the understanding that no one was waiting for her at home. No one to talk to.

Thoughts were quietly eating her from the inside and things were only getting worse it seemed with the war going on. As she described it, her daily routine was ‘dull and grey ‘.

Our Pioneers came to the village in the beginning of 2016 and planted a church there. Thanks to that church, Karen gained her new family and salvation in Jesus Christ.

At first she couldn’t understand the reason why she had to be baptised, since she was baptised in the orthodox church when she was a child. She, like many other believers, was a nominal christian. But through Jesus Christ she received a revelation and she understood that she needed to be baptised as a sign of her new covenant with Him. Soon she got baptised and happily became a member of the local church.

Karen gained new strength and inspiration to live for Christ and serve others. Now her life is a big example for many people around her. She’s no longer lonely and is filled with joy!
