From Sadness to Joy: Russia

reach the community

Anna* from the Sergiev Posad city told us that she wanted to be happy. She felt very sad and lonely and had lots of negative thoughts in her mind. It was difficult for her to live with it all.

With this, Anna began a conversation with our online volunteers after watching a yesHEis video. She also shared about her tormenting pain caused by uncertainty in her relationships with men.

Our volunteer Marina shared with Anna her personal experience; what she felt and what helped her to deal with it. Marina told Anna about God, who gives peace and hope in any situation.

Anna replied: “Thank you for your support. May I write you when I feel bad again? It’s an incredible pleasure for me to know I can actually share my problems with someone.” After this message their correspondence lasted for a while.

The volunteer suggested that Anna pray the prayer of repentance, and she agreed. Here is what she wrote back: “Thank you so much! I read the prayer and spoke to God, having shared with Him what bothered me. I felt like He was listening. I can’t even cry right now because my heart is so light!” Anna also agreed to read the Bible.

With time, Anna’s life is becoming noticeably happier and healthier. She even ended a wrong relationship with a young man. When her father died all of a sudden, our volunteer was there for Anna, supporting her and pointing to God’s love. Their correspondence is still in process.

We are grateful that yesHEis allows us to reach the community, using digital media to share Jesus and connect people to loving support.

Please pray that Anna finds her peace and salvation in Jesus.
