Challenging Misconceptions: Middle East

God is: An angry God waiting up in the sky to catch my mistakes; a puppet master who staged everything without man’s freewill; a God who created man to worship him as if he needs it; a distant God who created an earth that got corrupted and now we are left here all alone to face our life; a God who’s not interested, and who doesn’t interfere.

All these ideas and more are misconceptions about the nature of God that will be addressed in a short series of videos over the next two months.

From February to April, we will be producing videos and writing social media posts that tackle the misconceptions our culture has always held about God, and that unfortunately drive many away from knowing Him.

This particular theme is very challenging for us as a team, because it forces each one to test how we see God, and how much of that image is based on Biblical truth. We tend to impress upon God our own human ambitions and ignorance, and the image we have in mind about Him is often corrupted, making Him out to be something very different from the deity scripture describes.

Please pray that this theme will be effective in challenging many misconceptions about God, and lead people to a loving relationship with the Father.
