Baptisms and a Pastor’s Diligent Work : East Timor

In this month of April, eighteen new believers from the village of Tibar and villages around have been baptized. From teenagers to old people and entire families, they have publicly witnessed in the waters of Dili Bay about their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

It’s wonderful to know that these people have been won to Christ through a local pastor, Albino, nearly 60 years old, who knew Christ and was ordained as pastor through the missionaries. He has been very diligent in proclaiming the Good News throughout the villages, and discipling people. It is so encouraging to listen to his testimonies on how difficult it was to go up the mountain, walking with great difficulty, to take the Good News to a family up there very thirsty for God. And through this way, through these servants of God, just simple people, the seed of the Word is being sown in the hearts of the Timorese people and a good number of them are being saved.
