A Friend for Hard Times: One Hope Ukraine

Anna* is a graduate from an orphanage and was left alone with her life’s problems, struggling to deal with the trauma of her past. She suffers from loneliness with no family, caregiver or friends to show her direction. She has many material needs for housing, food, clothes and work. Because of her situation and background, she finds it hard to communicate socially and build new and lasting friendships. Anna feels abandoned, like an outsider, unable to solve her problems and succeed.

One Hope is about giving orphans like Anna the valuable support of a friend and mentor, who can give guidance, care and confidence.

Sofia* is currently in training to become a One Hope mentor. She called One Hope’s support team with a request to mentor Anna. It was her own initiative, because she saw the situation in Anna’s life. Sofia used to be a selfish teenager, but her life was changed when a mentor came into her life. She now has a desire to help others and is excited to be on her way to achieve her goal.

The girls have already met each other, and Anna is delighted with the news that she will have a mentor.

Please pray for Sofia’s training and her process of becoming a mentor, which requires collecting the necessary documents. Pray also that the relationship between the two girls would strengthen and flourish.
