1055 New Converts : Venezuela

“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. – Psalm 20:7

We end this month by blessing the Lord for his rich and unchanging purpose of reaching lives with his salvific grace. Last month we had 1055 new converts. What a miracle!

And even with all the difficulties that Venezuela faces, this month we inaugurated another beautiful church in the city of Tucupita with a great climate of adoration to the Lord. We baptised 2 people and are believing that they will be the first of many to be baptised there.

The transformation that the Lord has made in this place and in the life of many people in this city is notorious. It is very good to see God’s promises fulfilled in the lives of the missionaries who are very happy and motivated to continue doing the Lord’s work in this country. God is opening doors for his word to be preached and lives to be transformed.

We have spoken of faith in the midst of all this crisis and we have seen miracles happen. Last month a sister from one of our churches told us a beautiful testimony of provision. According to her, she had nothing to eat all day, her refrigerator was empty, and all she had to live on was water. Then she remembered the pastor’s words about faith and decided to gather her children and pray to God for provision. At 10 o’clock the next morning, still without having eaten anything, she felt the desire to open the refrigerator. To her surprise there was a bag with cassava there! It was with great joy that she could feed her family and praise the Lord for the miracle. Hallelujah! God is Faithful!

The country is experiencing crises, but we continue to believe in God’s action. This week many demonstrations happened because of the annulment of the national parliament, thus formalizing a dictatorship in the country, but thank God, that decision was canceled and things have calmed down.
