100 Years of Christianity in Cambodia

The CV team in Cambodia recently participated in one of the most momentous events in the country’s history – the Gospel Centennial Celebration.

This event commemorated the arrival of the first Protestant missionaries in Cambodia in 1923, marking 100 years of Christianity.

The celebration represented a major milestone for the Christian church in Cambodia, with an estimated 35,000 participants. The Prime Minister of Cambodia was also in attendance at the opening ceremony.

The event provided an opportunity to reflect on the progress made over the past 100 years and to celebrate the growth of Christianity.

CV’s ministry in Cambodia only commenced in 2021 but it has already had a significant impact in spreading the gospel via online platforms and connecting seekers to Cambodia churches.

As the country continues to embrace Christianity, CV and other ministries have extended their work to have an even more positive impact on people’s lives.

The Gospel Centennial Celebration was a testament to the growth of Christianity in Cambodia and a reminder of the power of faith to unite and inspire people.
